**Slack Blogger Alert**

Here goes.....our life since start of November.

SARAH on her BIRTHDAY BIKE

SITTING BOY!!

THE WILD STORM
We didn't have too much damage at our place: The tree in the photo is in the park; the 'good neighbour' fencing coped a battering and we had water in our garage.

SARAH'S CHRISTMAS PARTY and CONCERT
At the end of November Tadpoles had their Christmas Party. The kids had a great time on a jumping castle and merry-go-round. Santa visited and handed out an early present. And we got to hear each age/class level sing some songs. (Sorry not too many pics of this event as there other kids are in our photos).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM
We celebrated Mum's birthday with a trip to the Sunshine Coast, it was a nice relaxing time. The next day we went to Underwater World.

SARAH'S GRADUATION

Sarah graduated from pre-school! The centre and teachers organised a special ceremony with awards and graduation caps and a party afterwards. The children said a poem....

I'm a graduate, yes it's true
I'm a graduate, oh h oh
A tiny piece of paper, is what I get
So you ought to be proud,
'Cause I'm the graduate

(Sarah finished pre-school at Tadpoles on Wednesday 10 December)

SIMON
At the start of December our life was turned upside down when Simon was made redunant from his job (along with another bloke who had been there 10 years!). Yay! Just what we needed before Christmas. After applying for quiet a few jobs he scored a storeperson/delieveries job at Repco, Nundah. He started today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIMON
We celebrated by 4wding at the Glasshouse Mountains with picnic lunch. Col getting stuck in the mud made Simon's birthday!

Sarah's 5th Birthday

Sarah's birthday celebration started early with Papa and Mama. She followed a trail of ribbon to find a brand new bike!! (I will update later with a picture of Sarah riding her bike). Her first ride on it was at 6am the following morning, too early to remember the camera!

Sarah's birthday stretched further to a camping weekend at Lake Somerset (Somerset Dam) with Nanny and Grandpa and her friends Emma and Jess and their Dad, Mum and Jamie.
On Sunday Aunty Lisa came up for games and cake. We had a treasure hunt, played games, made woven heart loot baskets, opened presents and had Heart Cake. She got some great presents....a Little Pet Shop set, a totem tennis game, Dora DVD, photo of her friends, hair ties, clothes and a scooter.
I couldn't resist taking this picture of Cameron sleeping in his port-a-cot. He's hugging his musical Tigger.

Open Day at School

Yesterday was the Open Day for Prep students at Sarah's school. We were guided around the school by the Deupty Headmaster. The children got to see and play in the prep playground, have a look at their classrooms and the library. I was able to order her uniforms and got the booklist!

Sarah is very excited and is ready to go to prep. However, I know that the time between now and start of the school year will go too quick (feeling a bit teary just thinking about it) and I will not be ready to send her. My first baby is going to school!!!!

We're Happy Little Vegemites

Mmmmm vegemite on toast! Cameron's first taste of this great Aussie icon (sorry Colin!). Sarah gladly shared one of her pieces of toast (which she prepared all by herself) with Cameron.

6 Random Things about Myself

1. I had guitar lessons for quite a few years, while I was growing up.

2. At our wedding reception a dob of butter fell down the inside of my wedding dress.

3. One of my favourite authors is Janet Evanovich.
4. I have to wipe the bottom of my spoon before I eat my cereal (this probably sounds more neurotic than random).
5. I do not enjoy 'The Sound of Music' movie.

6. Rice Pudding makes me gag.

Well, that was hard, especially to try and come up with stuff that maybe no one else knows about. I don't know who else I could tag, but I will enjoy reading what others have wrote.

Spiderman Birthday

Sarah had a lot of fun at Nathan's 5th Spiderman Birthday party. They played Pin Spiderman on the Web, Pass the Parcel and together they made a spider's web and their own Super Hero Mask. Sandra did a fantastic job with the cake.

Remote Control Rock Crawler (posted by Simon - for the boys)

Ok it is a shared toy Sarah has had a couple of goes at driving it but she still needs to learn a little coordination, pratice makes perfect. I have never been happy with the flex (the way the wheels go up and down) so I started to modify the body by cutting the wheel arches out to make more room for the wheels to come up then he changed the spring rate fom the hardest (blue) to the second softest (white). Then I discovered that all the trimming of the body was for nothing so over a couple of nights there was some careful planing and measuring but I have now trimmed the body to allow maximun articulation. The first photo is what the body looks like as stock the others are as it looks like now and a very impressive wheel up at 22cm off the ground (any higher it falls over).

The Show

Last weekend we went to our local show for the afternoon. Sarah went on a couple of rides, we bought a showbag and patted some baby farm animals.
